We're looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development Coordinator to join our Group Training Organisation (GTO) team. If you're passionate about building long-term partnerships, delivering exceptional customer service and connecting businesses with talented apprentices and trainees, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with employers across industries including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning and renewable energy, helping them access the skilled workforce they need while supporting apprentices to thrive.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager – Industry Growth and Engagement, you'll reengage with inactive Host Employers, past graduates and drive new business growth in major projects, building and construction and renewable energy industries, introducing potential host employers to engage with PEER. 

Your focus will be on strengthening employer relationships, identifying workforce opportunities and ensuring PEER remains the preferred apprenticeship, traineeship and training partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with current, inactive and prospective Host Employers.
• Re-engage inactive employers and past PEER graduates to identify new workforce opportunities.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across major projects, building, construction and renewable energy.
• Promote PEER’s apprenticeship, traineeship and training services to prospective employers.
• Re-engage inactive employers and grow sustainable apprenticeship opportunities.
  Promote PEER's employment and training services to existing and prospective clients.
• Support employer enquiries and provide responsive customer service.
• Maintain accurate employer records and reporting within PEER systems.
• Represent PEER at industry events, networking opportunities and community engagement activities.
   

About You

You're someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You are commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

You'll also bring:

• Experience in account management, business development, employer engagement or stakeholder relationship management.
• A proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and business management systems.
• A proactive approach with a genuine commitment to customer service
• Experience within apprenticeships, vocational education and training, group training, construction, trades or related industries will be highly regarded.

PEER is seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join our Quality & Compliance department. 

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the organisation’s quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement framework across the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Group Training Organisation (GTO).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Quality and Compliance
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with all regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.

Manage Audits and Regulatory Requirements
Coordinate internal and external audits, maintain audit readiness, and manage compliance obligations and corrective actions.

Drive Continuous Improvement and Risk Management
Monitor performance, manage compliance risks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Provide Governance and Reporting
Maintain compliance documentation and deliver accurate reporting on quality, compliance and risk matters to Executive and Board stakeholders.

About You

You are an experienced quality and compliance professional with a strong track record of leading quality assurance frameworks and driving continuous improvement within complex, regulated environments. Ideally, you bring experience from the vocational education and training, apprenticeship, group training, or ISO quality sectors and are confident navigating regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.

You have a sound understanding of the Standards for RTOs, funded training contracts, and apprenticeship and traineeship systems, coupled with experience managing audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory relationships. Your ability to identify risks, implement practical solutions, and maintain robust governance frameworks enables you to support organisational success while ensuring compliance.

A natural leader, you can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, build strong working relationships, and develop high-performing teams. You are highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented, with excellent written communication skills and the ability to develop policies, reports, and compliance documentation to a high standard.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in governance, risk management, quality, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in a quality and compliance role or a similar position.
• Demonstrated experience leading quality assurance, compliance, audit, and continuous improvement activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management skills.
• A high level of integrity, professional judgement, and commitment to achieving quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the PEER reception area with energy and professionalism, acting as the welcoming first point of contact for applicants, learners, industry visitors and staff.

• Take ownership of our student management system, ensuring enrolments, attendance and records are managed accurately and efficiently.

• Champion PEER’s office processes and procedures, confidently managing student arrivals, early departures and timely follow-ups.

• Coordinate incoming communications with precision, monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring messages are relayed promptly and accurately.

• Manage learner and apprentice payments with care, including receipting and completing weekly banking tasks.

• Keep operations running smoothly, overseeing stationery supplies, stock ordering, and the distribution and collection of mail.

About the Traineeship

12-month commitment with high potential for ongoing employment within defence industry upon successful completion.

Candidates must satisfactorily pass a National Police Clearance, Baseline Security Check (must be an Australian citizen) and medical checks including drug & alcohol screening before a formal offer of employment is provided.  Eligibility criteria apply in relation to work rights.

As a trainee you will be paid in accordance with the National Training Wage.

Ready to explore a career in the defence industry? No previous defence experience is required!!

PEER, in partnership with the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments, is offering the opportunity to launch your career through a 12-month, full-time, paid Certificate III in Defence Industry Pathways traineeship.

What you’ll get:
Combine TAFE study, practical experience and industry mentoring.

• Complete classroom learning at TAFE Regency Park in study blocks of 4 weekly increments where you will study an introduction to a diverse range of topics!
• Undertake three,12-week paid work placements with leading defence industry employers across South Australia such as BAE Systems, Babcock, ASC, Supashock, Axiom Engineering, Century Engineering, Shoal Group, Praetorian Aeronautics, Neomech, Kennewell Engineering, Aerobond and more! 
• Explore diverse career pathways including blue and white collar in areas such as: Engineering and manufacturing, IT, administration, logistics, procurement, supply chain, HR, CAD and much more! 
• Receive ongoing support from dedicated mentors, coaches and educators.
• Get paid throughout your traineeship, including annual leave, personal leave and superannuation.
• Build valuable industry connections and gain experience that can lead to ongoing employment in defence.
• You’ll have the opportunity to try different environments, discover your strengths and explore career pathways you may never have considered.

About you
We’re looking for women who are:

• Comfortable using computers, with sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Team-focused, with strong communication and a willingness to contribute.
• Safety-minded and committed to looking out for yourself and others.
• Genuinely interested in exploring a career in the defence industry whether that be in a white collar office environment, or you want to get your hands dirty in a blue collar environment or both!! 
• You’ll need a minimum P1 driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle, as placements may be across different locations in South Australia.

Eligibility & screening
Successful applicants must satisfactorily complete a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, Australian Government Baseline Security Check (Australian citizenship required), and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. 

Trainees are paid in accordance with the National Training Wage.
