Senior Trainer - VET in Schools

 

PEER is a non-profit industry-based organisation, a Group Training Organisation (GTO) and National award winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited training packages to meet South Australia’s skill development needs. 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our Senior Trainers and Assessors (STA’s) are responsible for the delivery of quality training and assessment programs for Apprentices, Trainees and School Students under the guidance of PEER’s RTO leadership team. Our STA team are responsible for ensuring that PEER’s high standard of training, assessing and customer service is provided to all students, schools and colleagues by upholding PEER’s core values.

 

Due to recent growth in schools wishing to work with PEER, we are looking for another STA to join our team. With a focus on PEER’s growing VET in Schools program, this new STA role will be involved in supervising and supporting our trainer and assessor team, overseeing projects relating to our schools, delivering training, conducting assessment activities and working on additional training projects across our organisation as required.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of our VETiS programs, i.e. rostering, scheduling, resource allocation and purchasing requirements to ensure commercially sustainable training delivery
  • Participate in compliance related activities across the RTO to ensure PEER continues to meet regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership to the VETiS Training team
  • Develop & support new trainers that join our team
  • Manage training staff performance
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of Nationally Accredited Training Programs in conjunction with the VETiS Manager
  • Ensure learners are afforded relevant and compliant training programs
  • Model professional behaviour
  • Adhere to PEER’s policies and procedures
  • Be an active contributor to the PEER People Leadership team

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cert IV TAE
  • Licenced Trade Qualification in Electrical, Plumbing or Refrigeration
  • WWCC
  • NPC
  • Experience in training and assessing
  • Experience in Supervisory roles – either in training or in a previous role
  • Full Australian Working rights
