We’re currently recruiting for two exciting apprenticeship pathways:
🔹 CNC Machining Apprenticeship Learn how to operate and program advanced machinery used to manufacture precision components for Australia’s defence industry. Think robotics, technology, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing.
🔹 Engineering Fabrication Apprenticeship (Boilermaker Focus) Learn how to fabricate, weld and build metal components while working on major naval shipbuilding and defence projects.
No matter which pathway you choose, you’ll gain hands-on industry experience, nationally recognised qualifications and a career in one of Australia’s fastest-growing industries.

PEER, in partnership with the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments and TAFE SA, is creating pathways for women to enter Australia’s growing defence and shipbuilding industry through the Shipbuilding Employment Pathways (SEP) Initiative. Who are we: PEER is a non-profit Group Training Organisation (GTO) and award-winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited training and employing South Australia’s largest building and construction apprentice workforce. We welcome applications form all backgrounds and experience levels however, due to the defence orientation of this role, successful candidates must be eligible to obtain an appropriate level of defence Security Clearance, as defined in the AGSVA guidelines.
