To become a PEER Apprentice, you need to: - Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Hold a current drivers licence
- Have your own reliable car
- Be able to drive a manual vehicle
- Have completed a Certificate II Electrotechnology or Plumbing
- Be prepared to undergo drug and alcohol screening
- Be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
- Have completed Year 11 or 12
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
PEER Apprentices will, at times, be required to: - Travel up to 1 hour to and from work
- Work industry hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm
- Be available to work weekends
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime
- Work at heights, on ladders and on EWP equipment
- Work in roof spaces
- Work in Commercial, Domestic, Maintenance and Service sectors
- Be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling activities
