Join the team supporting the delivery of high-quality trade training. PEER is seeking a practical, organised and proactive Stores & Facilities Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This role plays an important part in ensuring our trainers and apprentices have the materials, tools and facilities required to deliver quality training. This is a hands-on role combining stores coordination, inventory management and facilities maintenance, while also supervising apprentices completing on-site duties. About the Role Reporting to the Senior Trainer, you will manage the ordering, storage and movement of materials used across our training programs, while also assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of PEER facilities. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to provide meaningful tasks and supervision for stand-down apprentices, ensuring they have a safe and positive experience while on site. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate the daily inward and outward movement of materials
- Manage inventory levels, stocktakes and ordering of materials
- Maintain an efficient stores and warehousing system
- Support trainers by ensuring tools, equipment and materials are available for training
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of PEER facilities
- Supervise stand-down apprentices completing general maintenance tasks
- Build relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Support continuous improvement of stores and facilities processes
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
About You You are organised, hands-on and enjoy working in a practical environment where no two days are the same. You are confident coordinating tasks, managing materials and supporting others to work safely. Essential skills and experience - Experience in warehousing, stores or logistics (receipt and dispatch)
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- General trade or handyman skills
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in trade environments
- Current Forklift Licence
- Current Driver’s Licence
Desirable - Experience using a warehouse management or inventory system
- Procurement or supplier management experience
- Experience working with apprentices, trainees or young people
Compliance Requirements - Current High Risk Forklift Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check
- Driver’s Licence
